Arica Johnson

Arica is a Registered Massage Therapist, who practices Craniosacral, Manual Lymph Drainage and Energy Healing. She is passionate about healing and has been studying various modalities for the past 25 years. From 2003 to 2006 she lived in Hawaii where she had the opportunity to learn the traditional Hawaiian bodywork, Lomilomi. This fluid and graceful style of massage remains a strong influence in her work today. She works very differently from most RMTs as she is not solely focused on the physical level and will not apply deep pressure. Whereas many RMTs work aggressively to release the body's tension, Arica believes this approach can actually cause more stress in the body, and activate the body’s natural defensive mechanisms. Instead she works in a gentle, intuitive manner, with a more moderate pressure, to release blockages both in the body and in the energy field. Her training in energy modalities brings another dimension to her treatments, which results in the client being able to enter into a deep, calm state where they can access their own inner resources for healing.

Robin's practice as a Massage Therapist is grounded in more than five years of experience in the social work field where she became acutely aware of the ways that social factors impact people’s bodies. Robin's approach is to encourage soft tissues and joints to realign. In this way, the body is given a unique opportunity to release stored tension in the body as it uses its own wisdom to heal. Robin works within her client's comfort level to bring calm and rehabilitation to people experiencing a range of issues, including postural pain, sports or other injuries, headaches and migraines, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Robin also understands Massage Therapy to be preventative in its ability to increase well-being through general relaxation treatments.
